Executive Director Review
The PPCS Board is currently engaged in the mid-year review process for our Executive Director, Jeneille Branen and is looking for feedback from Palouse Prairie families. We would greatly appreciate it if you could spare 5-10 minutes to fill out the following survey regarding your family's experiences at Palouse Prairie this year. The survey is anonymous. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/D67GBVT
1st and 2nd grade crews are hosting a book drive!
In expedition, the crews have been learning about how children around the world access books. The students would like to show service and compassion and to share the power of reading with others. Boxes will be placed around the school to collect new or gently used children's books that will be shared with Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse to have in their offices and shelters as well as to give to children they work with. We appreciate your donations of books to share with our community!
Middle School Students are gonna Boogie!
A Middle School Dance will be Friday, Dec. 9 at Palouse Prairie School multipurpose room, from 6-8 pm.
Kids are encouraged to dress up a little, however, pairing up or having 'dates' is discouraged. Students have been working in committees to plan the food, music, lighting, decorations, advertising, and photo booth. The dance is for middle schoolers only (no younger or older siblings, please). A student may bring a middle-school-aged guest from another school if they get written permission from Ms. Branen ahead of time. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Branen, firstname.lastname@example.org.

Another fundraiser we're excited to announce is the launch of a Palouse Prairie account on Amazon Smile! This program allows you to select PPCS as your designated charity and have 0.5% of your purchases donated directly to Palouse Prairie. Look for more information on FB and in the upcoming Quail Call, but in the meantime, here is a link to our account: https://smile.amazon.com/ch/20-8870679 (Note that you will always need to visit http://smile.amazon.com in order for the school to receive its cut, but your browser should remember that and you only have to select the school as your beneficiary one time.)
The task forces for all of the upcoming events will be meeting and working behind the scenes, but if there is something you'd like to be helping with, let us know and we can connect you to the group. And as always, if you have an idea for a community event or a fundraiser or anything at all, we'd love your input and your energy! (For instance, someone mentioned holding a talent show like we did a few years back - anyone feel energized to make that happen this spring? It was pretty easy to pull of and the kids *loved* it!)
Thanks for all that you do,
Sarah + Jessica
