International Walk to School Day
International Walk to School Day coming up on Wednesday, October 7th.
Focus will be on the International Community with the slogan "Let's Walk with the World!"
Crossing Guard Support
The PPCS Parent CREW believes the phases "We are CREW not passengers" applies to PPCS families as much as it does to our students. It is our responsibility to be active members of the school community and do our part to shape the education of our children and the success of our school. We are active looking for volunteer help with crossing guard duties. Times are in the morning from 7:45 am to 8:25, and in the afternoon from 2:45 to 3:15, 2 to 2:30 on Fridays. This is a very rewarding volunteer opportunity and it insures our students get to and from school safely, especially when it comes to crossing the Highway.
Our school is conducting a food drive to support some of our students. This is a great chance to make a difference in our school community. Please join us in our efforts by dropping off the food in the office and know you are making a real difference in the lives of Palouse Prairie children.
RSVP for EL 101!
This is a great opportunity for you to learn more about Expeditionary Learning! It is highly recommended for all new families. It is offered on October 1st from 6-7 p.m.
RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org
*We need a minimum of 10 people in order to have the class.
Art Workshops for Students K-6 during Non-Session School Days from 8:10-3:00 on October 1st-2nd. Each session is $25, which includes an art fee. Sibling discount is available. Please RSVP by Tuesday, Sept 25th: email@example.com
Great news! We just kicked off a clothing drive with our fundraising partner, Schoola. What’s Schoola? It’s a great new way to raise funds for our school. Schoola collects pre-loved women’s and children’s clothes, preps and sells them online, and gives 40% of the proceeds back to our school to help fund programs for our kids. That’s $2 out of every $5 earned back to our school!
How you can help:
Donate clean clothing in new or like-new condition from 9/28/2015 - 10/2/2015. We’ll be collecting clothes at the school.
One more way you can help:
Spread the word! Tell at least 5 family members or friends. They don’t even need to live here. They just order a bag from Schoola to ship their clothes in.
