If Moscow School District is closed, PPCS will be closed as well. Nearly half of our students arrive by bus every morning. Without the support of MSD, a large portion of our students would miss out on valuable instruction. As long as Moscow School District is open, PPCS will be open as well. There might be an emergency closure of PPCS and not Moscow School District, when there is a unique emergency at PPCS. For example, we might close the school for a frozen pipe, broken furnace, flood, etc. All school closures will be posted on the school’s website, Facebook Page, local radio (NPR 91.7 FM and Z-Fun 106.1 FM) and television stations (KREM Ch.2, KLEW Ch.3 and KHQ Ch.6). The goal would be to have this information made public prior to 6:30 a.m., if not sooner.
Do parents know that our street parking is REDUCED in the winter months?
Just across the street from PPCS, on Levick Street, there is a No Parking Area that goes into effect December 1st-March 1st. That area allows the city plows to access the street during snowy days. We don’t want a few unsuspecting Quails to have their cars towed away.
Where do lost coats, gloves, scarves, boots, snow pants and wayward hats end up?
Right about this time the school’s lost and found begins to overflow with snow gear from all ages and sizes. Please write your student’s first and last name on the tag of their clothes. This will help us make sure those items get back to the right person. If you are looking for a lost item, the Lost and Found Bin and rack is located in the multi-purpose room. Please remind your student to check for their lost items.
Winter Celebration: Save the date for our upcoming school-wide celebration on January 7 at the 1912 Center, beginning at 6:30. I look forward to seeing you there!
No School: December 19-January 2 for holiday break. School resumes on January 3rd. We hope you are able to enjoy some quality family time.
