We recently were the recipient of the Unsung Heros Grant and were awarded $2,000 to support our adventure program. They are truly inspired by the work teachers do and they will be flying here to present us with our award. They will be presenting the award to us during our Community Circle this week. Please come show your support during this weeks Community Circle if you are able. Community Circle begins at 8:40.
Are you interested in health and wellness at PPSEL? If yes, please join the PPSEL Wellness Committee. Our first meeting for the 2014-2015 school year will be this coming Thursday, November 6 from 3:15-4:30 in the school multi-purpose room. Topics include: hydroponic lettuce beds for school tastings; school salad bar; Adventures in Eating events; December free vision screening at PPSEL; communication with families; and, PPSEL Wellness Policy. Lost and Found:
Please stop by the office to see if your child has lost and found items in there. During the Thanksgiving break, those items still left will be donated.

Student-led Conference Feedback:
K-5 familles: Your child’s teacher will be sending out a survey for you to complete. Please take 5 minutes to complete the survey. This allows us to improve as a school and your feedback is valued. We are striving for 100% participation. Thank you!
Reminder for Walking School Buses:
People have had so much fun doing walking school buses that we've decided to continue with Walking Wednesdays on the first Wednesday of the month. Up next: November 5th and December 3rd.
Everyone is welcome to join one of the walking school buses below, or to add an additional location for a "walking bus stop." Feel free to wear a fun hat and/or to bring musical instruments and noisemakers.
Judy Sobeloff will lead a walking bus from the southwest corner of 3rd and Polk Streets, leaving at 7:50 a.m.
Julene Ewert will lead a walking bus from the Co-op, leaving at 8 a.m.
Colette DePhelps will lead a walking bus from the southeast corner of Mabelle and Lynn Streets, leaving at 8 a.m.
