Middle School Curriculum Night is Thursday!

Date: September 28

Time: 6:30-7:45 pm

Location: Start in the PPCS MultiPurpose Room

Kindergarten and 1st Grade seeking donations

The Kindergarten and 1st Grade classes are looking for donations of recycled supplies for their labs – we are in need of cereal boxes, plastic containers, string, other odds and ends that our crews can build things with using their imaginations. If you can help, please drop your donations off at the school. Thank you!

Chess Club Returns!

The Palouse Prairie School Chess Club is starting back up on October 4th! We will meet every Wednesday after school from 3:15-4:00pm in the KinderCREW Room. Contact Ms. Sorenson (ksorenson@palouseprairieschool.org) for more information.

From the Parent Crew – Welcome Back Picnic a Success!

Thanks to everyone’s adaptability and communication efforts, our Welcome Back “picnic” was a huge success!  It was wonderful to see so many families gathered together to share food, good will and good humor.  We particularly want to thank Slice and Biscuit for their support.  They gave us a significant discount on the pizza to help make the event affordable for all our families, and when the weather went sideways at the last minute, they graciously offered to host our event at NO ADDITIONAL COST.  We were very grateful that they were willing and able to smoothly create an alternative venue for us, with less than two hours notice, AND were willing to let us contribute our own side dishes, beverages and treats.  It could not have gone any better if we had planned it — the adults were able to comfortably relax and visit while the children ran around and played.  Please express your gratitude to Slice and Biscuit for their support, flexibility and generosity.

International Walk to School Day – Wednesday, October 4th

A walking school bus is in the works for the morning of Wednesday, October 4th. Julene Ewert will be meeting kids at the Co-op at 8 a.m. Efforts are being made to create a couple collection points along 3rd Street that will join into the group at the Co-op and continue on to school.
