8th Grade Final Word & Graduation - Help us say goodbye to our graduating 8th graders on Friday June 2nd from 6:00 - 7:30 at the 1912 Center! The graduating 8th grade class will be conducting a Final Word Presentation. Students craft a narrative of significant personal growth during their time at Palouse Prairie and their readiness to move into the next phase of their education. They will present their final word in front of their families, teachers, and community members during graduation. Individuals that have had an impact on the students’ lives will have a chance to speak about the students’ characters and personal growth.
5th Annual Run the Palouse & Year End BBQ - A reminder that our 5th Annual Run the Palouse will take place on Friday, June 2nd at 4pm. ALL students are welcome to come run but only those who turned in a pledge form with at least $20 raised will receive a t-shirt. Participants have been logging 25 miles of running or equivalent exercise over the last 6 weeks and will run the final 1.2 miles together, gathering at Mountain View Park to run the final 1.2 mile course together and to become marathon finishers! Stick around afterwards for our Year End BBQ of hamburgers, veggie burgers, and potlucked side dishes + desserts. BBQ is free to runners and by donation for everyone else.
Pledges for Run the Palouse are in and total more than $5,200! Our business sponsorships are roughly $2,000 which more than cover the cost of the t-shirts, so we are on target to meet our goal of raising $6k for the Adventure Program! Thank you SO much to those who called and visited businesses!
