Run the Palouse 5K
Our annual run will take place at Robinson County Park on Saturday May 21st, 2016 from 10:00AM to 1:00PM. The run will start promptly at 10:00 AM. If your student has already collected over $20 in donations, they will get their free running t-shirt before the race! Please plan on being there around 9:30 to get your t-shirt. There are extra t-shirts for purchase, however, supplies are limited. Prizes will be given out to winners of different age groups. Mark your calendars for May 23rd! Palouse Prairie Charter School 5th graders will be presenting a short art awareness piece at The Kenworthy Theatre about endangered animals followed by a showing of the award-winning documentary Racing Extinction!

Art Show Hosted by the 7th Graders
The 7th grade crew will be hosting an art opening at the Prichard Art Gallery on June 1st. This art show will depict the intricacies, controversies, and cultural complexities of wild and captive killer whales. Doors will be open from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. We hope to see you there!
Enrollment Form Packets
Enrollment Form Packets will be emailed out at the end of this week. They will be sent out in a fillable pdf format for your convenience, but they can also be printed and filled out by hand. All the forms must be completed and returned by email, mail or dropped off at the office by June 3rd.
Silverwood Tickets will be coming home on Monday, May 23rd. They will be stapled to a reading certificate of achievement on standard sized paper. Please look for those in your students' backpacks. They cannot be replaced if lost.
Gallery Night: May 2 from 6-7 pm
Gallery Night is a school-wide event where families, community members and school partners act as an authentic audience. The purpose is to learn more about the work of the students, the school as a whole, and honor student learning. We begin by gathering together in the multi-purpose room. Families then travel through the classrooms to view all the work of our students.
8th Grade Graduation and Final Word Passage Presentation: May 2 from 7:15-9:00 pm at PPCS
The graduating 8th grade class will be conducting a Final Word Presentation in the multi-purpose room following Gallery Night. Students craft a narrative of significant personal growth during their time at Palouse Prairie and their readiness to move into the next phase of their education. Individuals that have had an impact on the students’ lives will have a chance to speak about the students’ character and personal growth. If you plan on attending, please make sure all children are seated and following expectations during this time.
