We are excited to announce that the PPCS Board of Directors is launching our official capital campaign to raise funds for our new school! In order to raise funds for our down payment we have been working extremely hard writing numerous grants and have reason to expect success. We can’t do it alone however, we need everyone’s help. Here’s how you can help:
Read all about it! Find the Capital Campaign Building for the Future case statement at this link http://www.palouseprairieschool.org/case_statement.pdf. Please familiarize yourself with all the opportunities for leaving a legacy that you and your community can be proud of! To find specific naming opportunities, follow this link on our website http://www.palouseprairieschool.org/capital_campaign_donor_recognition.pdf.
Share your enthusiasm! Email the above links or the attached documents to extended family and friends telling them about opportunities to contribute by buying a brick, a bench, a tree or more! At the end of this email, you can find some sample text that you’re welcome to cut and paste or adapt.
Think creatively! Here are ideas that other families have implemented to help raise funds:
- One student asked for donations rather than birthday presents so that his grade could raise enough money to buy a bench in their name.
- One family is raising funds from extended family members to purchase a garden in the name of two late grandmothers.
- One parent convinced her husband’s business to donate funds to purchase a Science Laboratory for the new school.
Be a part of the legacy! Our school motto is “We are CREW not passengers” because we know it takes everyone pitching in to create the kind of amazing results we see at Palouse Prairie - just ask the 4th graders who are planning their canoe trip with the David Thompson style cedar plank canoe and paddles they built themselves as part of their Confluence of Cultures Expedition.
On a daily basis, we ask your student to go beyond their comfort zone, take calculated risks, show their grit. We are asking that of our families as well. Be inspired and inspire others, have conversations with family and friends. Never have we needed your participation more!

I’m writing to tell you about some exciting news for our family. Name of student’s school, Palouse Prairie Charter is planning to build a new school building. The quality education they have provided operating out of an old furniture store for the past 8 years has been impressive, but we are looking forward to a facility that better meets the needs of the students and teachers and provides lots of green space for outdoor learning and play.
As someone who has always been supportive of Student, I’m wondering if you would be interested in looking over the materials at these links http://www.palouseprairieschool.org/ppcs_case_statement.pdf and http://www.palouseprairieschool.org/ppcs_capital_campaign_donor_recognition.pdf. These links will give more information about the proposed new school and how you can help make this dream come true for nearly 200 Moscow area students. To find out about some of the wonderful opportunities the school provides to our students, I encourage you to check out their Facebook posts at https://www.facebook.com/PPCS.org/.
Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks for all the generosity you have shown our family!
