Panelists Needed to Serve on our First Passage Presentations!
We are looking for panelists for our Passages presentations! Passage Presentation is a rite of passage for our students as they move from middle school into high school. We call this process “Passages” for two reasons. It represents a student passing from one level to the next AND the presentation serves as a rite of passage. Rather than passing students on from grade to grade without acknowledgment, we have chosen to mark that experience with a meaningful event. This is a celebration of learning, an opportunity for each student to show their best work to a group of adults who have not yet seen it. The process helps them gain a greater understanding of themselves as learners and members of a community. Students prepare a number of components for their Passage Portfolio. Preparation culminates in a 45-minute presentation to a panel. This is a unique opportunity for you to hear from students about their experiences as learners at Palouse Prairie Charter School! Passages will be on Friday, May 27th from 7:00am – 5:15pm. You may serve the entire day on all 13 passage presentations or you can serve from 7:00-11:30 or 12:00-5:15. Breakfast & lunch will be served. If you would like more information or are interested to serve on the panel please email Jeneille at firstname.lastname@example.org No experience necessary! Please join us!

Parents, this is the last day you can submit your feedback for your child’s classroom teacher. Your feedback is considered in their evaluation and helps them grow and learn. If you could please take a few minutes to complete this survey, we'd greatly appreciate it. The form can be completed multiple times, so please complete one for each child’s teacher.
Please provide constructive, kind and helpful feedback in the comment boxes. Those comments, or sections of those comments, are given to teachers to help them in their reflection process.
This survey is completely anonymous, but you can add your name to the survey in the last question. This information might be used to contact you with further questions, but it would not be shared with the teacher.

Bike and Walk to School Events
TOMORROW Wednesday, May 4th, is Bike and Walk to School Day, and our next Walking Wednesday! Everyone is welcome to join the walking or biking school buses below or to start another one or to walk, roll, or bike on your own.
Due to construction, we will be taking alternate safe routes through town to meet up with the Hwy 95 sidewalk south of Sweet Ave. This will add a little distance and a little time to our bike trains & walking school buses. NOTE: To maximize safety, we ask that parents accompany kids who may need extra assistance on their bikes or are slower walkers.
Julene Ewert will lead a walking school bus which will leave the Co-op at 8 a.m.
Judy Sobeloff will lead a biking school bus which will leave the Co-op at 8 a.m.
Colette DePhelps will lead a biking school bus from the corner of Mabelle & Lynn at 7:30 a.m.(we will be biking down Mabelle to Blaine then south to the Latah Trail, biking past Berman park and then up HWY 95 – about 2 miles).
ALL Palouse Prairie students who bike to school will be able to take part in a BIKE DECORATING PARTY during their lunch hour (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) on May 4th. Reflective stickers, paint pen and streamers will be provided by Safe Routes to School. Parents, please note the stickers and paint pens are permanent. If you would rather your child not use the permanent decorations, please instruct him/her to decorate their bike with streamers only. We are looking for parent volunteers to help with the decorating party, if you can volunteer, please contact Colette.
As always, fun hats, musical instruments, and other embellishments are welcome on the way to school!
