Bike and Walk to School Day
Wednesday, May 4th, is Bike and Walk to School Day, and our next Walking Wednesday! Everyone is welcome to join the walking or biking school buses below or to start another one or to walk, roll, or bike on your own.
Julene Ewert will lead a walking school bus which will leave the Co-op at 8 a.m.
Judy Sobeloff will lead a biking school bus which will leave the Co-op at 8 a.m.
Colette DePhelps will lead a biking school bus from the corner of Mabelle & Lynn at 8 a.m.
NOTE: To maximize safety, we ask that parents accompany kids who may need extra assistance on their bikes. In case of inclement weather, we’ll have one big walking school bus.
As always, fun hats, musical instruments, and other embellishments are welcome!
If you do not own a bike helmet, or need to borrow a bike for this event, please contact Colette @ email@example.com
Lost and Found
As the weather gets warmer the coats, hats, gloves and scarves that are filling our Lost and Found will become forgotten. Please stop by the school and take the time to thoroughly examine the round rack and tub that house our lost and found items. All items not claimed will be taken to a local thrift store or become the property of PPCS's Adventure Program.
RUN THE PALOUSE: May 21st
On our third year, the Moscow Kids Marathon has evolved into the now called “RUN THE PALOUSE!”: a 5K fun run (opened to all ages) and a free kids’ sprint (for 8 and under). It will take place at the Robinson County Park on Saturday May 21st, 2016 from 10:00AM to 1:00PM. So please mark your calendar and make sure your students, friends and family can come and participate to this fun event!
Your student has already received a pledge envelope to take around your neighborhood and family for collecting donations. Please follow the instructions attached to the front of the envelope and make sure the envelope is returned to PPCS by May 4th. This will guarantee each student to get his or her free running T-shirt! We are also trying to reach out to as many local businesses as possible for sponsorships and we need all the help we can get. Please open the attached sponsor letter (at the bottom of this email) and download it. Forward it or give printouts to as many local businesses/institutions you know might be willing to contribute with donations. If you have any questions you can email Carole Bogden at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you in advance for all your efforts to help us promote our new “RUN THE PALOUSE”!
