Don’t Miss the PPCS Winter Celebration!
What: PPCS Art Gala
When: December 3, 6-8pm
Where: 1912 Center
Why: Celebrate winter, buy some art, hang out with friends, support PPCS
How you can help: Donate snacks (sign-up genius to come), donate art, ask others to donate art.
Join us for Palouse Prairie’s First Annual Art Gala! Explore “the having of great ideas” through art—music, paintings, comic books, cakes, fiber arts, poetry—whatever your art is, it’s welcome here. We’ll have a silent auction, which will include student art, a live auction, and a $30 art dash (participation limited to the number of pieces available). We’ll also have drinks and snacks and art-filled childcare ($10 for the first child, $5 for each thereafter—space is limited).
If you or your child are creators of art, please consider donating. Are you a musician? Donate your live music for a dinner or birthday party. Do you knit, make gorgeous cakes, write poetry, take photographs? Please consider how you, too, can donate. We also encourage you to ask any artists you know if they’re willing to help. Please let Sarah Quallen at email@example.com or Tiffanie Braun at firstname.lastname@example.org know if you have any questions or if you have something to give.
Criss Cross Bookbinding with Josh Kirby - Students will learn the non-adhesive "Criss Cross Binding," also known as the "Secret Belgian Binding" to complete one book. All supplies included. Previous experience with bookbinding will be helpful, but is not necessary. Josh Kirby is a part-time instructor of design at the University of Idaho, and an experienced bookbinder and paper artist.
