Sixth graders can now enroll at charter school
MOSCOW - It opened back in 2009 and now school administrators at the Palouse Prairie School of Expeditionary Learning are adding a new grade to their curriculum. The school has increased its enrollment to 105 students for the 2010-2011 school year, a visible jump from the 70 students that attended last year. The new grade won't be a problem to add since the Idaho Public Charter School Commission originally approved the school for grades K through 6.

We are excited to announce Mr. Jacob Ellsworth to you. He will make a fantastic addition to our crew. Mr. Ellsworth has been teaching for five years in Washington State. Two years teaching K-8 science in urban and rural schools for the Pacific Science Center, and the last three years teaching 6th grade science at a middle school in Seattle. Mr. Ellsworth received his BA in Elementary Education from Western Washington University in 2005. Even though he was born in Florida and raised in Georgia, Mr. Ellsworth has lived in the Pacific Northwest for the last twelve years. When he is not educating children he likes to spend his time with his lovely wife and his dog, Mocha, getting outdoors and traveling. Mr. Ellsworth is excited to start working at the Palouse Prairie School in the fall and to get out of the city. |
